Kimberly Painley, President
BIOGRAPHY
Kimberly Painley is currently the President of Kinetic Marketing Consultants, an independent consulting firm specializing in merchandising and multi-channel marketing. Ms. Painley is a marketing professional with over 15 years experience in the catalog and internet retail environments.
Prior to forming Kinetic Marketing Consultants, Ms. Painley served as the Director of Merchandising for the AutoSport division of International Auto, a $20 million catalog and internet retailer, where she was responsible for all product selection, inventory management, drop-ship coordination and product performance analysis. While at International Auto, she established channels for direct importing from China and Thailand and developed a private label product line. She was also instrumental in the launch of DrivingComfort.com, a web site designed to bring the AutoSport product line to the female market.
Before joining International Auto, Ms Painley was the General Manager for Monticello Catalog, where she was responsible for all catalog production, marketing, merchandising, inventory, budgeting and call-center functions. During her eight year tenure, annual catalog sales grew from $300,000 to nearly $4 million.
Ms. Painley has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in marketing and business administration. She currently serves on the Gerson Lehrman Group Council of Advisors, consulting with investment and venture capital firms on topics related to the direct marketing and consumer goods industries. She has served as a judge for the Multichannel Merchant Website Awards and a speaker at the Annual Conference for Catalog and Multichannel Merchants.
